Answer: I am working on a study of the reception of The Tale of Sagoromo, focused on its Asukai subplot. This book will complement my first study, _Love After The Tale of Genji: Rewriting the World of the Shining Prince_ (Harvard University Asia Center, 2007). That book was based on research funded in part by a Japan Foundation dissertation fellowship.

3. Where did you acquire your most advanced Japanese language training for your research?
