Answer: I do comprehensive study about Japanese and Okinawan immigrant communities in Bolivia. Some of my works are posted in http://www.jpri.org/publications/authors.html

3. Where did you acquire your most advanced Japanese language training for your research?

Answer: C. I am a native Japanese speaker.

Optional Inquiry:
1. Please describe briefly how the Japan Foundation Fellowship experience influenced your career.

Answer: My research as a Japan Foundation Fellow opened many doors to research projects, such as one by Japanese American National Museum and one by Inter-American Development Bank, and to conferences. I published many articles, in which I acknowledged Japan Foundation, which led to opportunities for expanding the scope of my study and for further publications.

2. The Japan Foundation is planning to create a network or forum among past Japan Foundation fellows. Please let us know if you have any suggestions in terms of themes, format, etc.
