2. Please describe what you are currently doing. (If you have your own website or any relevant site, provide its URL.)

Answer: I am working on a paper on the works of Osamu Tezuka that will be presented at the Southern Japan Seminar in Miami in March 2011. My book based on the research which I have done in Japan will soon be out! The title is A Sociology of Japanese Ladies' Comics: Images of the Life, Loves, and Sexual Fantasies of Adult Japanese Women, and it will be published by the Edwin Mellen Press in 2010.

3. Where did you acquire your most advanced Japanese language training for your research?

Answer: C. I am a native Japanese speaker.

4. Have you ever participated in the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme?

Answer: NO

1. Please describe briefly how the Japan Foundation Fellowship experience influenced your career.

Answer: The short term fellowship allowed me to go to Japan and conduct research, which ended up in a scholarly publication (journal articles and a book).
