Answer: Presently I am Directing the Japanese FALCON Program at Cornell University. This is a full-year intensive course in Japanese. My duties are both administrative and teaching assignments. The FALCON website may be viewed at www.lrc.cornell.edu/falcon.

3. Where did you acquire your most advanced Japanese language training for your research?

Answer: D.Other (Time spent in Japan, partly with a Japan Foundation Fellowship)

Answer: The Foundation helped me to spend time in Japan doing research and acquiring Japanese, both of which have served me well throughout my entire career.
