Answer: Analyzing a recent survey, comparative study of Trust in 7 nations, of which Japan is one. Survey sponsored by Japan Society of the Promotion of Science.

3. Where did you acquire your most advanced Japanese language training for your research?

1. Please describe briefly how the Japan Foundation Fellowship experience influenced your career.

Answer: The Nihon Gakujutsu Shinkokai gave me support in both 1976 and 1983, which allowed me and Prof. Mannasi Hiroshi at Kwansei Gakuin University to complete two studies at factories in Nishinamiya City, Osaka, and Kurashiki, Okayama-Ken, and to publish two books about our research.
