The Conference/Seminar Grant Program provides limited support to research and academic institutions, working either independently or jointly, for Japan-related research conferences on academic topics and professional knowledge, research, or educational methods. The Japan Foundation will give priority to innovative and creative proposals for annual recurring programs. Proposals for annually recurring projects, while not excluded, will be evaluated with particular rigor. All meetings should be conducted in the United States and projects shall not be the work of a single individual. International cooperative projects are encouraged. In the prior fiscal year, six applications were awarded a grant.
