Outline

This grant supports the establishment of a tenure-track faculty line in Japanese Studies, the sponsoring of Japanese writers to participate in the university's International Writing Program, the development of library facilities and Japanese resources, hosting visiting artists and scholars, supporting faculty and graduate students perform research on and in Japan, and networking with K-12 educators, area colleges, and members of the community.
