This one-day symposium addressed issues of the potential development and challenges that Japanese art faces in the U.S. in terms of collections, exhibitions, and education. An international group of speakers, commentators, and audience members examined how individuals and institutions can work together to ensure that an awareness of these important issues will be inherited by the leaders of the coming generation.
