Association of Asian Studies Annual Meeting 2010

The Association of Asian Studies (AAS) held its four-day, annual conference in Philadelphia from March 25-March 28 and was attended by approximately 3,000 Asian studies scholars from all over the world. The AAS annual meeting seeks through panels, roundtable discussions, seminars, film screenings, et al, to make possible an exchange of information among scholars to increase their understanding of East, South, and Southeast Asia. http://www.aasianst.org/annual-meeting/index.htm
The Japan Foundation and Center for Global Partnership hosted its annual reception on Friday evening to provide its friends and colleagues in the field an informal setting for socialization and networking. This year’s reception provided an excellent networking opportunity for policy experts, scholars and students, as well as current and prospective JF grantees and alumni, and educators from around the world.
