Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Seminar

On November 10, 2010, the Japan Foundation with the support of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of New York, Consulate General of Japan in New York, and JETRO New York hosted a CSR Seminar at the Nippon Club. The event was at capacity with 80 guests in attendance. Please click here to see the flyer for the event.

The two hour program included opening remarks by Mr. Isao Tsujimoto, Director General of the Japan Foundation, Ambassador Shinichi Nishimiya and Mr. Norio Ookaido of the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership (CGP). Ms. Kara Hurst of Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) presented trends in CSR, and Ms. Sachiko Kishimoto of the Center for Public Resources Development and Mr. Junichi Tomioka of the Japan Foundation presented their latest findings on CSR activities within Japanese companies in the US and the rest of the world. The seminar included a very interactive Q&A session and received positive feedback from those who attended.
