new & update guide to Japanese Studies Fewllowahip Program 2009 - 2010

To assist in the study and scholarship of Japanese culture and society, the Japan Foundation’s Japanese Studies Fellowship Programs gives scholars, researchers, and professionals the opportunity to conduct research in Japan. All research and doctoral projects should be substantially related to Japan in the fields of the humanities, social sciences, and comparative research.

The following is the updated schedule:

Research Fellowship
Intended for scholars, researchers, and professionals to conduct research in Japan for 2-12 months
Short-Term Research Fellowship
Intended for scholars, researchers, and professionals to conduct research in Japan for 21-60 days
Doctoral Fellowship
Intended for doctoral candidates to conduct research in Japan for 4-12 months
